Salary

We offer salaries that reflect the market we operate in and regularly check ourselves against similar roles in other organisations.

  • Employer pension contributions double the percentage of your plan earnings, up to 8%

What the role involves

Supporting the marketing team in their daily operations, from responding to
inbound requests for collateral to assisting in campaigns centred around
acquisition, retention and creating brand exposure.
Managing and responding to marketing requests from internal stakeholders.

  • Developing marketing literature where appropriate.
  • Supporting in updating content on our website.
  • Supporting the Senior social media Officer in the management of our channels.
  • Editing marketing assets using Photoshop; and having experience in video would be desirable.
  • Supporting with e-mail and copy developments on an ad-hoc basis.
  • Supporting with presentations and budget tracking.
  • Taking a lead role in internal communications plans and content delivery.
  • Conducting market research whilst being proactive with developments and trends, which need to be monitored and share back with the team.

The ideal candidate will

  • Have relevant qualifications such as Media, Design, Marketing, or Business Studies.
  • Have demonstrable skills in Martech, including Google Suite and Hootsuite.
  • Have experience in general marketing operations.
  • Attend events and support in posting content.
  • Be proactive, detail oriented, and have attention to detail.
  • Assist the marketing team in the creation of assets where possible.
  • Be prepared for occasional conduction of presentations.
  • Curate social posts for closed member groups on request.
  • Provide general support at events.
  • Perform ad-hoc marketing tasks, coordinating events, tracking budget and report collation.

The ideal candidate should be collaborative and able to build rapports with an action orientation mindset and appetite to find solutions. The ideal candidate would have some experience in marketing and is looking to build on their foundation as part of an engaged and talented team. For this role, having attention to detail with exceptional organisation and project management skills will be essential.

An opportunity has arisen in the HR Department for a temporary, 6-month HR Consultant.

• Helping potential dog owners find the right dog for them, and work with the dog breeding community to ensure those dogs are healthy and happy.
• Supporting dog owners to access high quality training and pet insurance and provide a range of advice and support to help ensure the ongoing wellbeing of dogs.
• Working with breeders, judges, competitors and exhibitors to organise world class events and to develop the resources they need to thrive.

The primary objective of The Kennel Club is to improve in every way the welfare, health, and general wellbeing of all dogs throughout their lives, by means of various research and educational programmes, and our Charitable Trust.

The purpose of the role:

This role is an interim opportunity for 6 months to support The Kennel Club through a period of change. This would be an excellent opportunity for an experienced HR Consultant with proven complex employee relations experience to support the organisation through this busy period. The role will work closely with the HR Department to assist with providing a professional and effective service for The Kennel Club.

What the role involves:

• Responsible for advising on complex employee relations cases.
• To assist the HR department with multiple ongoing projects, with a particular focus on managing change.
• Act as a point of contact for employee and manager inquiries and concerns and assist in resolving HR related issues in compliance with company policies and regulations.
• Work closely with management and employees to improve work relationships, build morale and increase productivity and retention.
• To assist with and take responsibility for recruitment and selection campaigns at the London Office and offer proactive recruitment, assistance when required at our Aylesbury Office.
• To assist with the monthly payroll when required and the processing of employee benefits.
• To provide support with the yearly training program and the creation and development of courses for The Kennel Club Learning Management System.

The ideal candidate will have:

• Proven understanding and application of current UK employment law.
• Solid experience of managing employee relations.
• Hold a CIPD professional qualification, level 5 and above.
• Strong planning and organisational skills.
• Experience of deploying HR change initiatives across a diverse group of employees.
• Previous experience of managing and collaborating on HR projects.

We are looking for an experienced HR Consultant who can join our busy team and hit the ground running with multiple ongoing projects. The ideal candidate will have excellent interpersonal skills and be able to build relationships with key stakeholders within the organisation. A background within an established and historical organisation would be beneficial, as would the ability to influence and manage varying personalities.
