The Kennel Club associates
Associates of The Kennel Club are expected to have contributed in a significant way to at least one of the canine activities supported by the club. Prospective associates may have shown sustained and continuous active participation either as a successful breeder or owner of dogs obtaining recognition in The Stud Book, or perhaps as a member or committee member of a society registered with The Kennel Club. Other possible means of demonstrating involvement includes: as a senior member of the Young Kennel Club; as a successful exhibitor, competitor or judge at shows, trials, agility or other competitive events; or any other way that shows a commitment to the world of dogs.

Terms and conditions
- Once the application form is completed, it will be forwarded to the committee relevant to the particular area of interest in canine affairs,
for its view - Candidates’ names are then published in The Kennel Club Journal in order that any interested parties may consider and comment on the application
- Final approval of the election of associates then rests with The Kennel Club Board
